17th - 24th of March

The Erasmus+ Project GenCy4In&ClimA organised another Climate Action week that took place from the 17th to the 24th of March.

Several sessions of the sustainable Consumption Conference were held with the collaboration of the Consumer Protection Association. In the conferences, students learnt about the impact of their consumption habits on the planet; they calculated their carbon footprint and learnt ways of minimising it.

Planting trees and season vegetables was another activity, involving both students and teachers.

The week finished with the activity “Cycling with Energy”. This activity was brought to our school by the “Centro Ciência Viva de Estremoz”.  The students were able to cycle and produce 5 different types of energy: wind, solar, tidal, kinetic, and gravitational. It was a fun way of learning how we can transform our own energy in energy to make a fan work, turn on a light or even make it rain.
