Student sing and sign together with the Bealtaine Choir (older adults ) Our TY students sang Silent Night along with one of our students, doing a reading Sofia that was created in a collaboration group work activity in Ms Kearney’s English class.

Students work on drama exercises for inclusion.
April
Students in TY Trained in different dances and performed in theatre raising over 4000€ for the Solas Cancer Support. This centre provide a free support service with people of all ages (Intergenerational) affected by a diagnosis of cancer to support people in our community. A group of our TY film makers working with Mr. Corless created a film showing the power of inclusion in mental health they have been selected as one of 13 finalists in the Frame of Mind short film competition. The ceremony takes place on Tuesday 30th April at the I.F.I in Dublin at 6pm.
Art exhibition | TY
‘Nature Through Time’
Nature Through Time is an inter-generational art exhibition curated by a team of TY students in Newtown School Waterford. Intergenerational ‘for individuals in different generations or age categories’. This is a TY YSI project which gave applicants of any age the opportunity to display artwork in the art exhibition ‘Nature Through Time’ . This project has just been shortlisted to compete for the national title of Young Social Innovators of the Year 2024.
